An individual with $50,000 in cancer coverage receives a lump sum after being diagnosed with cancer. Later, due to the Cancer Recurrence Benefit Rider, they receive an additional 50% ($25,000) upon a second diagnosis.
A policyholder with a $75,000 heart & stroke plan undergoes aortic surgery, receiving 25% ($18,750) of their benefit. Six months later, they have angioplasty and receive 10% ($7,500), leaving a remaining balance for future events.
